After a lot of trail and error, here's my unfiltered take. I resisted online dating until the very bitter end. I was never a very good dater to begin with, and the idea of someone judging me the way I judge a pair of shoes I'm debating online seemed chilling. But two years later, I was 40 and had exactly zero dates. So I signed up. The first few months were horrendous.
Family members worry about you. Friends try to set you up with any number of dates. Coworkers constantly nominate you for extra projects because they know you have no one to go home to. Because you, my friend, my curmudgeonly grumpy sourpuss of a friend. You are just forever and ever and ever alone.
I believed that all I had to do was keep on enjoying life, focus on my passion, identify the qualities I was looking for and soon enough I would attract the perfect partner. The way to attract the perfect partner into your life is completely different than what most people believe. There are no easy solutions, despite what the law of attraction gurus will tell you.
